In and Through Him We Are Defined

More constant and sure then waves that crash upon the shore
Is the love that binds the Father to us who He calls his own
The outpour of abundant grace and mercy on our very souls
Is far beyond the comprehension of our selfish and mortal minds
Blessed with the chance to find true love and understanding
In who we are to be once we have been freed of our confining flesh
Dying to the ways in which we thought we were meant to live
So we may find true life that exceeds all our temporal expectations
Futures defined in what we know will last and exceed this world
Yet living for today to seek out what is of the Father's will
Created in the imagine of Him who cannot be seen or defined
We find purpose and meaning to the lives that we are called to live
No longer slaves who are bound to sin and the consequence of death
But we are heirs to an undefinable life that is eternally full

This is who we are in Him
This is who we will become through Him
